Welcome to God Made Women Beautiful
This concept is the creation of Aaron Akins, singer and songwriter. Its genesis lies in a simple but deeply-held belief. As Aaron describes it: "I know I was inspired by God to write this song “God Made Women Beautiful” I think there are so many negative images and thoughts and words in music today, especially some Rap, that it is absolutely imperative that there be some positive images and thoughts and words in music today. “God Made Women Beautiful” is an attempt to remind women about the truth of who they are...because it has a message to all women, not just some women. Every woman on the planet. I am trying to remind them that they can’t be anything but beautiful. Because anything other than beauty is just an illusion, it is not real, it’s just an idea.”

Aaron Akins’ music is something out of the ordinary. On Aaron’s second studio album Love is All Around [2009 - Produced by Darryl Swann (Macy Gray)] he sings compositions like “God Made Women Beautiful,” “I’m Nothin’ if it Wasn’t for You,” Got to Have You,” and “I Just Wanna Luv U,” in which he pours out a heart filled with love and positive feelings and brings a smile to the face.

Just announced: AARON PERFORMING LIVE!
Aaron will be honoring Dr. Paula Fellingham of the Womens Information Network in a special night of song on the evening of Sunday, March 18, 2012 at King King, located at 6555 Hollywood Blvd., CA., 90028 (cross street is Whitley). As Nat King Cole's birthday is March 17, Aaron will be performing original material as well as a contemporary tribute to Nat King Cole. Doors will open at 7:00 and show to start at 8:00 p.m.

Jimmy Hockaday, on bass/lead guitar, is a long-time collaborator and performer with Jr. Walker (Co-wrote “Sax-Attack”), having travelled the world with Jr. Walker and the All Stars for over 10 years.
Gerald Noel, whose saxophone style was influenced while performing with Jr. Walker, has travelled the world with many top name stars since he was 13.
Malik Pointer is a mega-talented singer/songwriter with a flamboyant personality, an overload of trend-setting style, and has an irresistible stage presence that captures the entire room. Malik, the son of Ruth Pointer, writes original hit songs with huge hooks, memorable melodies and has a signature sound all his own.
Nayanna Holley has performed on three tours with Sheryl Crow and with artists such as Jennifer Hudson, Chrisette Michelle, The Roots, Queen Latifah, and the Dave Matthews Band. Nayanna has recently created a personal work, “On Love & Fear”, a testament to a young life that embraces one and conquers the other.

is a philosophy, a world view, a belief. That is why Aaron is excited to celebrate the
release of AI INDEPENDENT by his friend, Japanese singing sensation AI (Ai
Carina Uemura). Everyone has the ability
to accomplish something truly significant in their lives. The fact that the INDEPENDENT CD, featuring
the song “Independent Woman”, topped the charts on iTunes Japan on the day of
release is but one small example of the message of power, pride, accomplishment
and positive self-esteem that God Made Women Beautiful is all about.
Aaron’s friendship with AI started when he, along with Darryl Phinnessee, long-time featured vocalist on Dancing with the Stars and Dorian Holley, featured vocalist on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno recorded vocals with AI on her yet-to-be-released single “Brighter Day.” |
